Cheong (청) is a name for various sweetened foods in the form of organic syrups, marmalades, and fruit preserves with natural taste and aroma.In Korean cuisine, Cheong is used as a tea base, as a honey-or-sugar-substitute in cooking, as a condiment, and also as an alternative medicine to treat the common cold, various dressing, dipping and of course on many desserts.
Fruit preserves with peels, like orange preserves, undergo rigorous cleaning through multiple washings and blanching in boiling water. This ensures that the preserves remain clean while preserving the natural qualities of the fruit.
